DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT
DJ ViWaldek is the solo project of Donatella Zipolli - a harpsichordist, composer, and leader of the band Salvezza - who moves with remarkable ease between early music and contemporary electronic music. The artist takes on works by Baroque masters such as Bach and Vivaldi, adding new layers of sound to them live: pulsating electronic rhythms, hypnotic synthesisers, and unexpected improvisations.
It is a bold encounter between two worlds - Baroque elegance and club energy. ViWaldek breaks down the boundaries between concert, performance, and musical experimentation, creating a space full of surprises, emotions, and contemporary imagination.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST
DJ Fagot - Grzegorz Fajngold, known as DJ Fagot, is one of the most colourful figures on Łódź’s independent music scene. He is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founder of cult bands: 19 Wiosen, Już Nie Żyjesz, Demolka, Procesor Plus, and Salvezza. For over two decades, he has been performing as a DJ in Poland and abroad, guiding audiences through an incredibly wide spectrum of musical worlds. In his sets, foxtrot meets punk, disco meets electro, and dance floor classics seamlessly transition into the latest forms of club music. He is also the founder of the ABRecord label, which promotes the Polish electro, disco, and punk scenes. In the early 21st century, he collaborated with the legend of the Polish New Wave - Kapitan Nemo - preparing new arrangements of his greatest hits and performing alongside him. In addition to music, he is also a collector. He owns the “100 Mannequins” Police Uniform Museum in Łódź, where he has amassed a collection of over 160 historical uniforms. DJ Fagot’s sets are a musical journey through a century of popular culture - from the 1920s to the present day. It’s a hundred years of music packed into a single night: from 1920 to 2020 and beyond.
